TERMS & CONDITIONS - THE BASICS

Welcome to Koreeh. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of www.koreeh.com (the "Site") and your purchase of candles and related products (the "Products") from us. By accessing the Site, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Site or place an order with us.

1. Eligibility

By using the Site and placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or are accessing the Site under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our discretion if we believe these conditions are not met.

2. Products, Pricing, and Availability

All candles sold on the Site are handcrafted and, in most cases, made to order. Because each Product is handmade, minor variations in colour, scent intensity, texture, and finish between the image shown on the Site and the Product you receive are normal and do not constitute a defect. Prices for our Products are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive or exclusive of applicable taxes as indicated at checkout. We reserve the right to change prices, modify or discontinue any Product, and correct any pricing or typographical errors on the Site at any time without prior notice. In the event a Product is listed at an incorrect price due to a technical or human error, we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund any amount already paid.

3. Orders and Order Acceptance

Placing an order on the Site constitutes an offer to purchase a Product, which we may accept or decline at our discretion. An order is only confirmed once you receive an order confirmation from us via email or SMS. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including where the Product is unavailable, where we suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity, where there is an error in pricing or Product description, or where we are unable to verify your billing or shipping details. If we cancel a confirmed order for any of these reasons, we will notify you and refund any amount already paid.

4. Payments

All payments on the Site are processed securely through Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateway. We do not store your full card, UPI, or net-banking credentials on our servers. You agree to provide accurate and complete payment information, and you authorise us to charge the applicable amount, including taxes and shipping charges, to your chosen payment method upon order confirmation. In the event of a failed or disputed transaction, we may reach out to you for verification before dispatching your order.

5. Shipping and Delivery

We currently ship only within India. Estimated delivery timelines will be communicated at checkout or via order confirmation, but these are estimates only and not guaranteed, as delivery may be affected by courier delays, weather, regional restrictions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Because our Products are handmade and, in many cases, made to order, processing time before dispatch may be longer than for ready-made goods, and this will be communicated to you at the time of purchase where applicable. Risk in the Products passes to you upon delivery to the shipping address provided, and it is your responsibility to ensure that the address and contact details provided at checkout are accurate and complete.

6. Order Cancellation Policy

Because every candle is handcrafted and, in most cases, made to order specifically for you, orders cannot be cancelled once they have been confirmed. We encourage you to review your order carefully, including quantities, scent, colour, and personalisation details, before completing checkout, as we are unable to accommodate cancellation requests after an order has been placed and confirmed

7. Returns, Refunds, and Damaged Items

Given the handcrafted, made-to-order, and fragile or perishable nature of our Products, we do not accept returns or exchanges, and all sales are final. We are unable to accept a return or issue a refund simply because you changed your mind, ordered the wrong scent or design, or no longer want the Product.

However, if your order arrives damaged, broken, or defective through no fault of your own, we want to make it right. Please contact us within 24 hours of delivery via @koreeh_official on Instagram, along with clear photographs and an unboxing video of the damaged or defective Product and its packaging. Once verified, we will, at our discretion, offer you a replacement or a refund to your original payment method. Claims reported after this window, or without adequate photo evidence, may not be eligible for a replacement or refund. This damaged-item policy does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper handling after delivery, or normal variations inherent to handmade candles, such as minor surface imperfections, frosting, or natural colour variation in wax.

8. Candle Care and Safety

Candles are open-flame products and must be used with care. You agree to always burn candles on a heat-resistant, stable surface, away from flammable materials, curtains, drafts, children, and pets, and to never leave a burning candle unattended. Trim the wick to approximately 5mm before each use, and allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface on the first burn to prevent tunnelling. Discontinue use if the flame becomes too large, flickers excessively, or if the container becomes cracked or damaged. Koreeh is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage arising from improper use, handling, or storage of our Products, or from failure to follow reasonable candle-safety practices.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including but not limited to the Koreeh name, logo, product designs, photography, graphics, text, and layout, is the property of Koreeh or its licensors and is protected under applicable Indian copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on the Site without our prior written consent.

10. Prohibited Conduct

When using the Site, you agree not to engage in any activity that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful to Koreeh, other users, or third parties. This includes, without limitation, attempting to gain unauthorised access to the Site or its systems, submitting false or misleading information when placing an order, using the Site to transmit malicious code, or using content from the Site for any commercial purpose without our authorisation. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Site for any user who violates these Terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Koreeh shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or our Products, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or property damage, except where such liability arises from our gross negligence or wilful misconduct. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your order shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant Product.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Koreeh, its officers, employees, and affiliates harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer protection law, any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, offerings, or applicable law. The updated version will be indicated by a revised "Effective Date" at the top of this page, and your continued use of the Site or placement of an order after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
